Might as well destroy it..

Does it bug you when some 16 year old gets his car purchased for him from a respectable enthusiast who has done great things with the car, only to put some stupid, gaudy ass shit on it? When I sell my car, I'm going to put a list of stupid shit not to do in the rear glovebox so they know.

Edit: Bastards...

Easily remedied. Sell it to an older person you know is responsible. Or sell it to a young person that you are positive is responsible.

The only way to prevent it is to not sell the car.

keep it and when you have kids, turn them into enthusiasts...i don't have a problem with that because since i raised my little brother to be an enthusiast, i could sell him my ride when he's old enough to drive it (we're 7 years apart)

Re: Might as well destroy it..

WTF? You SOLD the car. You PROFITED the MONEY from the sale. It is THEIR property, not YOURS. Get over it and work on your current ride.

Kids.

but! the purpose of selling it is to see it be enjoyed by someone else in it's own glory....more like a sense of pride..if one modifies their car and they love it like a child, then to see it altered is like a shot through the heart...it's the kind of thing that makes a grown man cry.....

Re: Re: Re: Might as well destroy it..

Incorrect. Modifying a car is merely a pleasurable activity for the current owner. As soon as you have sold that car and acquired a new one, you have a new direction/place for your attentions. OTHERWISE DON'T BLOODY SELL IT!

Re: Re: Re: Might as well destroy it..

I'm sure it would hurt much more if it were my car, but seeing someone elses car turned into shit hurts as well.

Paintings are just images on canvas, but how would you like it if some crayon ricer scribbled all over van gogh's starry night?

That is one comparison that makes me feel queasy. I can't beleive you even mentioned it.
