clutch adjustment - 96 integra

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the clutch on my 96 integra? I have to go through about 2 inches of travel on my clutch before it begins to engage, and I'd like to get rid of that play.

Thanks!

Matt

its hydraulic you cant adjust it check your clutch master cylinder is it getting low on fluid. also look up unde rthe dash with a flashlight at the clutch pedal arm is it shinny like fluid is on if so replace your clutch master cylinder and better replace your clutch slave cylinder to.

Re: clutch adjustment - 96 integra

on my civic 4th gen(a lot of hondas use the same type engines between about 88-96ish) the clutch cable comes through the bulkhead and down the front of the engine(between the cooling fan and the distrubutor, maybe different on left hand drives) and theres a plastic tensioner screw, tighten it until theres no more slack on the clutch pedal, if you cant find it get someone to press the clutch while you look under the hood and you should spot it.

as i said i've got a civic so there might be differences,

p.s. the reason the clutch slackens like this is normally because the clutch is worn down or the cable has stretched, so have this checked if possible
