po' mans polish
poor mans polish is just Vicks Vaporub. works pretty good, just dont put too much on at once.

I guess that's fine if you have a cold when you're polishing your model? Vaporub is a vaseline based product, vaseline is one of those lovely things that seems to attract dust.... Dust is bad..... 'nuff said

Why not just go out and spend the $7, and you'll be able to polish about like 15-20 cars, and make them look really nice.

Yeah, sometimes when I run out of Tamiya stuff, I just use my dad's Meguires, then when I get some Tamiya again, I use that and so on. Wax is not that expensive, and it lasts a long time.

Wow, if you can use vicks vapor rub then it figures you can use honey as well... maybe just add a little lemon for shine. You could also use spa grade mud and give it a full body scrub.
All these three things are MUCH better than using Tamiya's compound and wax. I mean Tamiya's stuff wasn't meant for hobby use; while Vicks, honey (w/ lemon), and Spa grade mud were.
