excesive tire wear

My Goodyear MT/R's are wearing badly on the inside edge of the front tires. The stock tires were wearing on the inside also, but the problem multiplied with the new tires. I'm sure I need an alignment, but was just curious if anyone else had this problem. On every other vehicle I have owned the front tires had more wear on the outside edge. Is this an Xterra trait that I wasn't aware of?

Yeah, you need an alignment. If anything having a lift or your torsion bars tightened high makes the outsides wear more.

Re: excesive tire wear

Do you keep your tire pressure at the recommended 26 psi? Dont listen to the dealership or the recommendation, I just recently started keeping 32 psi and have had lots better wear on my tires.
