lessons at the track

Well I went to the track on sunday to vicary day in cordova Illinois. It was horrible. my car is a consitant 12.6-12.71 car ive done this many time this year. Well this time I invited all of my friends out to bring there cars and to watch me run. my first run 13.3@102 . next 13.2@103, then a 13.1@105. then it got even worse . while I was doing all of this I did'nt take the time to even glance at my scanmaster. well next run I did and it was showing like 10.4-12.3 deg of timing being pulled out of my motor at 24 PSI. after that pass I'm thanking the buick gods that I did not lose my motor so I turn the boost down. to 10 PSI to make a test run just to check it out, it still showed the same ammount of timing being taken out. Now I had 93 octane in the care puls I was shooting alky and my o2 where like .790-.800, there is no way I could be having spark knock at that boost level with alky. Well 13's all day. I get home and look under the hood and just checked everything couldent find a thing.Went out there today and started again and looked for anything that culd be knocking around. It was my downpipe the clamp came loose and mit was knocking agenst the heat shield over my heater box and that is enought to set off your knock sensor talk about kicking yorself in the teeth
