It's at the site. Go to www.gm.com and there will be a scroll bar at the top left. Scroll all the way down to Holden. HSV cars are some of the hottest cars IMO. Holden is the GM division in Austrilia. There top models have Corvette LS1s and they preform very well. :alien:

The HSV and the the UTE'S are the real Holdens the small ones are Opel based and the 4*4 are Isuzu based. You sould see the ad they play on TV here for the 5.7 6 speed SS ute, love it.

He is right the really sweet cars are the HSVs. And include the Utes too. And although I hate Fords you mightaswell add Tickford too....or not.

Igor, as you well know, there are zillions of makes and models to choose from, so I'm not suggesting you add Holden to the menu.

However if you eventually do, may I profer a brief list of workable sub-sets? As Holden products are best known by their individual model letters, not years, these cover the indigenous designs of interest and would I think may (you never know!) make sense to enthusiasts:

FX-HR Classics
This encompasses Holdens consecutive evolving 'full-size' models from the onset in 1948 thru '67. The uniting feature is them all being 6cyls.
(FYI The model sequence goes: FX, FJ, FE, FC, FB, EK, EJ, EH, HD,HR).

HK-WB V8s
First to last of the locally-based V8 platforms including coupes (Monaro), LWB versions etc. 1968 thru '84.
(HK, HT, HG, HQ, HJ, HX, HZ, WB).

Torana
Local sub-compact, 4, 6 & 8cyl until '80.
(HB, LC, LJ, LH, LX, UC).

Commodore
Initially Opel-based, now unique. 1978-current
(VB, VC, VH, VK, VL, VN, VP, VR, VS, VT & current VX)

btw HSV is Holdens 'tuner' arm, half-owned by the Scot, Tom Walkinshaw Racing aka TWR.

Any views, ammendments anyone?

I thought the SL/R 5000s would be adequately encompassed in the Torana classification, don't you? After all, the main Toranas of note and interest would, I expect, be LC & LJ GTR XU-1s, LH & LX SL/R V8 derivatives and those little beasties, the mighty LH L34 & LX A9X homologation race 'specials'.

I wouldn't expect much call for the sonorous Sunbird, pathetic Plus-4 or glipid G-Pak!
btw: For a few years I once owned a neat 'lina mint' (lime green) LC XU-1, only a 6cyl triple-carb, but an effective club car, they used to eat Capri V6s.
Thanx for your response, I welcome any suggestions.
