1992 Rodeo starting problem
Hey everybody, I'm having a big problem with my Rodeo not starting. two days ago I replaced a cracked radiator on it and got in the truck to try and start it up to check for leaks. The truck had been sitting for about 3 weeks until I could afford a new radiator so the battery was dead. I jumped it off and it started fine(no leaks either, thankfully). I drove to the store and came back home and put a new radiator cap on because the old one had a cracked seal. I parked the truck and came back out maybe 2 hours later and it wouldn't start. I tried to jump it off again but to no avail, no clicking when I tried to start it, no trying to turn over, nothing..complete silence. I checked all the fuses and the ecm relay, all seem fine. I don't know how to check the fuel pump relay or anything else. I have an alarm installed and I know one time about a year ago the alarm went off when the battery was kinda weak and it engaged the starter kill, but I disco'd the negative battery cable and hooked it back up and it started fine. I tried that this time and nothing. I have this overwhelming feeling that it's something simple and I'm just missing it! Could someone PLEASE HELP ME! It has 161,000 miles on it and I've never had much trouble with it until now. Any help someone could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No luck!
Thanks for trying 2eyefishclaw, but that didn't work for me. I've been trying to get a friend of mine who works at the Dodge dealership to come check it out for me, but his wife is about to have a baby so I don't think I'll be seeing him anytime soon.
So if anyone else has an idea please let me know. Thanks. |

It lives again!
Hey 2eyefishclaw, thanks for the help. I got it started finally. It was a combination of the battery and the starter kill being engaged on the alarm when it wasn't supposed to be. Thanks again!
