i was askin about that about 2 months ago and to tell you the truth, what you've posted is the first pic i've ever seen of it. i don't think anyone in this forum has that done. it looks nice tho. i wonder how difficult it was to put on.

yeah, i just finished up reading it. if all you have to do is re-drill the fender mounts, then i'm surprised you don't see more of that swap. it looks great.

i'd like to see better pics of how the doors and fenders line up. sourcing those parts for the swap is probably a bitch too (if you don't get a clip, i don't want an rb20). i guess you'd just have to keep you eyes open and check ebay alot.

I did the swap for a buddy of mine, it looks ok. There is a good sized gap between the fender & the door, fenders stick out like 3/4 to 1 inch. Not sure how to go about fixing that. It isnt as easy a swap as Night makes it out to be. He says 1 hour. Took me about 9 hours. I am a little conscious of making everything fit perfect though. Maybe that was my downfall. You NEED hood pins for it and lots of shims. The R32 hood hinges bolt right up to the stock 24- location, but you need to shim the fenders to make the lines look ok from fender to door and fender to windshield pillar. Then you gotta throw a couple on the hood to bring the hood up & level.
Here's the pics off a local forum, I gotta do some adjustment still. After 9 hours, I stopped caring. http://www.apgmotorsports.com/forums...&threadid=1395 |

yeah I've only seen that red one besides this one.
It doesn't look good at all. It doesn't look as good as a real Sil Eighty. It just doesn't line up at all with the rest of the car, looks odd where it meets with the body lines of the 240 around the A pillar and doors.... |

i just got an email back from him. he says he ships out the whole conversion pre-drilled for ease of instalation. the only thing he says is needed is hood pins if you don't want to relocate your hood lock. i'm not sure if this pre-drilling means you don't need shims. the front end cost $1000. personally i'd just get an r32 front clip wityh an rb20 and drill it myself. i've seen them for as low as $1500.
