i have a 1991 BMW 325i
suggestions for any mods that would increase performance from engine and car in general?

Best performance for the dollar is the change of the differential to a lower ratio.

Lowers the torque band and makes the car wake up.

BMW does that on every Motorsport built.

$250 and 2 hours is pretty good return.

Another option that is even less expensive: Get a K&N filter for approx. $35 and modify your airbox with ducting made from deforster hose available at the parts store. Use hose with an O.D. of 2 1/4 inches and add an extra hole to the airbox and duct to an opening behing the headlight or create an extra hole in the flat area beside the radiator. Not as trick as a cone filter and an fabricated cold air box, but you will notice an inrease in power and it has a slight increase in intake noise.
