Walmart

Can anyone in US tell me, are there walmart store everywhere? I' m going to St Petersburg near Tampa in Florida the week after next, didn't see any walmarts last year but there again I wasn't looking for them, since a few of you seem to get stuff from there I thought I might check it out this time. Any info on location of stores would be great

Can't answer your question specifically, but maybe this will help:

Thanks for the link, found three stores in the imediate area and a couple not too far away. Do they all have a 'Hobby Isle' or is it just the superstores?

Generally there is a modelling section in every store's toy section, needless to say they are not all stocked to the same level, it's kind of hit-and-miss at best.

Re: Walmart

All the ones I've been to have the "Hobby Isle" in them right beside the toys.

I'm seeing hobby section getting smaller everytime I go to Walmart in Chicago suburbs. Is this just Chicago or everywhere?

There are no walmarts in russia or ukraine or poland. We have different kind of market. More private sellers for everything than stores.

The only place I've ever had luck are at the super centers, and not one's in major cities either, they were in the middle of no were, basically as the only "big box" store in a good half hour to 45 minute drive.

Yup, Wallmart in almost every town in Canada too. And the models are next to the Die Cast in the toys section but don't expect to find Tamiya or anything like that... you'll find Revell and AMT that's about it. But even if the choice is very limited, the price are very competitive. In here, you won't find a hobby shop with a better price for the same model.

While here you should check the Yellow Pages and visit a few "REAL" Hobby Stores in the St Petersburg area. or go to Qwestdex.com and search for Hobby Stores. Anyone in that area that can help here?
