Question I have something to ask..

I am wondering, for some stupid reason I am wondering, if they made a Modeling video? Something that will help me! Step by step or something? Or maybe photos showing step by step please? If anyone knows anything about this please HELP!

AND..

Is there a website that offers good prices for supplies you need for modeling?

You can try www.ehobbies.com, or www.psfhobbies.com. Either one of these should have more than enough supplies to last for a while.

There are "How-To's" on this page, which include pictures...
Tutorial & "How-to" Depository
Give a look there for some answers on polishing, painting prep, etc.

Cheap and air-brush is not a good combination.
A good one will last and be a pleasure rather than a pain.

Hi,

Try to get some used books at www.half.com if you know how to look at seller ratings or buy new from amazon.com

I have

Basics of Scale Automotive Modeling (getting started in the hobby)
by Pat Covert

Custom Car Modeling
by Mark S. Gustavson

also like someone said check the FAQ

If you have a local modeling store ask if they have a model club and join and seek knowledge from fellow members

Take care
Alfred

Re: I have something to ask..

I got a Testors airbrush at Walmart, it was a fairly cheap one, $32 or something like that, and I think its just fine. I've gotten the P-MAN shine with it everything.

There is a FAQ here that contains tons of useful info, there is also the 'How To' section as was mentioned before.

Read those and you will be well on your way to modelling nirvana.

I have that same airbrush, and I have to agree with what was written eariler. Cheap and airbrush shouldn't be used in the sentence. I paid $30 for the airbrush, and IMO, a pretty big waste of the money. I still haven't gotten good paint coverage with it, the instructions don't help much, and for the most part I don't really like to use it, simply because trying to get it to work for me is just frusturating. If you're gonna spend money on an airbrush, do yourself a favor, and save up some moeny for a real one.
BTW-I'm not trying to bash the Badger company-they make great airbrushes-if you're willing to spend some money on a real airbrush. My

Haha!

Alright, thanks guys.. I'll check around and look for some good ones, maybe I'll ask some hobby shop owners for some reference on modeling too.. =)

I learned one thing.... =D

Not expensive? = BULL!! NOTHING! DOESN'T WORK! CHEAP S***

Expensive = Good stuff.. =D

AND...

I am wondering, do you need to add thinner to the paint you spray from the airbrush? I think you do.. Maybe that's why mustangman is having problems?
