bad problems..HELP PLEASE!

OK ...i have a std shell with a DX engine (D15b2) the engine has 63,xxx miles on it..the body 210,000. Heres the story. I have 2 1/4 STRAIGHT pipe no cat or res. I recently installed a 4-2-1 header. It ran fine. wanted a deeper sound so i put a glasspack in..(forgot to mention about a month ago i changed from a pm9 STD ecu to PM5 DX ecu, made fore the engine, and it use to have a miss from idle when i hit the gas and fuel cut at 6400, but the pm5 made it all fine and cut off was about 6800-6900) Everything ran fine and then i put that glasspack in. Ran perfect and alot quiter. Then i advanced my dist. Not much, and no pinging or knocking. I then decided I would advance it some more. now until 3000 it misses. I have adjusted to the same pos. it was at.. many times adjusting it, and it will either miss or backfire.. I put it back EXactely where it was form the washer marks and marks i had made and it backfires.. when i put the glasspack in it started to smoke a lil bit.. well were trying to fix it and we noticed the plugs r BLACK as sut..Literally... The car has aq gas smell to it..We think it is running rich, or not getting enough air. Put a new cap and rotor on the dizzy.. COuld someone please help?
