B18B and cable tranny???

I was wondering if there would be any problems, or if it's at all possible to mate a B18B with a B18A tranny. And how hard is it really to wire a non obd car for obd-x whatever the engine is?

A b series trannies are interchangeable , meanning that they will bolt up to any B series motor. Also the OBD conversion is not necesarry. You can hook the B18B up to the B18A ecu. You might have to just lave some sensors that are not found on the B18A disconnected but that is no problem, they will be there for emissions only. And why are you changing motors?

Re: B18B and cable tranny???

actually, i found a 90 teg body w/o engine and tranny and it's a lot easier to find a b18b in better condition than a b18a and i don't want to hassle with having to convert to hydro tranny if it's at all possible. So I don't even have to wire it for obd since it's a non obd vehicle...thats cool
