Question 95 Dodge Caravan Weird High Pitched Revving

I noticed that the last couple days whenever I rev the engine in my caravan the sound has been a high pitched almost squealing noise. I know its not the belts. I'm trying to figure out if theres something wrong or if its just getting used to how I drive it. Somebody give an idea on whats wrong.

Re: 95 Dodge Caravan Weird High Pitched Revving

Get a 3 ft peice of heater hose and with the emergency brake on in neutral, rev the engine and very carefully place one end of the hose on the alternator, powersteering pump etc. ***Stay away from all belts or moving parts.**** Safer than a metal stethoscope.

Have you checked the 2 idler rolls? Replaced mine and it solved the noise problem.
