Transmission Swapping
Hi all!
I was wondering, if someone could tell me if I could put a 5-speed transmisson from an '89 2L Accord into a 1.5L automatic '89 Civic Sedan. And IF so, will there be anymore hardware needed?!? Thank You. |

no you cant, get a tranny from a civic, with the same series engine as your civic has. the civic has a d-series motor where the accord has the F in there. find a d-series civic(just about any civic) and get that tranny.

Okay dude, you'll need not only the manual tranny but also a manual ECU, linkage, clutch pedal tree, and also wire the auto tranny harness so that you can take your key out of the ignition and do everything else properly. Its time consuming also and also when doing it be sure to have something around to break because it will make you mad.
