In Progress: '64 Impala

I've been working on this car for the better part of a year.

It's been my test mule for a lot of new things I've been trying.
-Changing suspension heights
-Body modifications (hood cutting)
-Engine Transplants
-Bare Metal Foil
-Spray Can paint
-Primer/Top coat compatabilty.
-ETC..

It has a top fuel dragster motor. Purple Metallic paint. And will sit on those 18" RUF wheels.
I'm still unsure about the interior colors. I'm leaning towards Black/Grey or Black/Purple. Any suggestions?

Sorry about the pic quality. I'll get some more posted if there's any interest.

I can tell that's the AMT kit right off the bat. Good work for such a poor kit. (though saying so isn't very fair, since it's been around since 1964).

I'd like to see a bit more of the engine, since obviously that's the heart of this project. Also, a side profile shot would be useful in seeing the stance. Otherwise, not bad at all.

The color was Boyd's Grape Pearl, in the Testor's spray cans.

I knew the box in the background would give it away.

I've finished most of the Bare Metal Foil, and the engine. I'll get some shots of it tommorow in the daylight and post some better pics.

Looks quite good. The engine is great in that big empty space between the fenders.

Do you plan on removing the molded-in exhaust before dropping in huge headers?

Different kind of car, but looks good.

Looks better than I would have thought....

What did you use to do the trim?

No, I dont' believe Boyds puts their paints in Testors cans. Boyds and Testors are two different companies.

I'm looking at the can and it says Testors right on it. Product #TES52904. It is Boyd's paint popped into a testors spray can. And marketed/distributed by Testors and available at every Wal-Mart I've ever been in.
