97 Silverado Vibration Problems

I have a 97 Silverado w/a 4.3 V6 122,000 miles. I have been fighting a constant vibration problem. I have changed the folowing: tires, rims (after market polished alum.) rotors, rear drums, u-joints, balanced both drive shafts, shocks. I had the tires balanced with a GSP 9700 Vibration Control System. This helped some but still have a slight vibration in the entire truck and steering wheel (not in the wheel at all times only when making a curve). I just had the front end allinged and everything checked out OK in the front end. I have taken it to Aamco and Cottman transmissions and they tell me it is not the torque converter. Has anyone else had this problem adn what did you do to correct it? My mechanic, tire guy and myself are at the end!!!! I have spent too much money. I need to get it STOPPED!!! HELP!!!!!

I have a 97 Silverado and had a steering problem when I would begin turning it to the right. It would slip as if I hit a slick or icy patch. If this is your problem let me know

Couple of questions...

Does the noise happen all the time at all speeds, or does it get worse the faster you go?

Does it happen in park and nuetral?

Did you have a 4 wheel alignment?

Were you in an accident with the truck when this started?

97 Silverado

Seems the problem you have is different than what I had. There was no noise associated with the problem, it would just sort of jerk or slip when I was making a curve or slight turn, always at the same point (between 1 and 2 o'clock on the wheel). Never wrecked (knock on wood). It continued after an alignment, new tires and brakes. Turns out it was the EVO sensor. I had it replaced and now it drives fine.
