The gas pedal on my '99 Silverado sticks when applying pressure from a stop or when on the hi-way. Any pointers before I start lubing from the pedal on thru to the engine? Any replies would be appreciated before I screw up my rear linkage.

Re: 99 Silverado accelerator sticking
Clean the throttle body.
Use a choke and carb cleaner and a old toothbrush and clean the deposits off the throttle blade and bore. That should solve your problem.

Silverado sticky throttle
I'm a bit late with this replay, but I had the same problem. I asked my dealer about it reoccuring and opted for a more permanent fix. They plugged the hole in the butterfly throttle and adjusted it to keep it open a crack when idling. This way it doesn't have a chance to close fully and get stuck. They had to replace a module as part of this fix, but the total cost was only $85. It's worth it to me not have to clean it out every 3k miles.
