I am the owner of the black 86 targa TR that many people saw last weekend in Indy...After reading the posts about the car I will try to set the record straight. The car is 1986 TR US car...this car was on the cover of car and driver sept 86...I purchased the car from the owner in chicago when the car had a few thousand miles on it....The car was sent to R. Strayman in california for a targa conversion as many of you may be aware they are the premier body conversion co in calif....the car was sent about 4 yrs ago to Bob Norwood in dallas where he converted the motor to a four valve twin turbo motor with computer controled NOS to spin up the turbos thus eliminating turbo lag...The NOS can be turned off by a switch in the center console...I never use it as the car is so fast without it and there is vertualy no turbo lag...The car has aprox 25000 org miles on it and the redone Norwood motor has approx 2000 miles.. The car is missing a few rubber pieces around the corners (uses 308 moldings)...The car is extremely fast you wont find a ferrari that will run away from it yet the car is extremely civilized and easy to drive although I never drive any of my cars for more than short putts...Last year I sold my F 40 to the pres of club in kansas city...many of you may have seen the article on the car in forenza mag this past spring...Anyhow before I sold the F40 we raced it against the TR several times...At the line the F40 ran away for the first 150 yards then the TR ran away from it...lots of fun...All in all the TR is a great car The targa conversion and the norwood conversion make it a fun car to drive and no one is going to pull up next to you and blow your doors in...I have a factory mod twin turbo porshe (96 and very fast and special ) and the TR runs away from that car also...The car is for sale $84000... It needs to be owned by someone who is going to drive and enjoy the car ...this car likes to run not sit in the garage...this car really has over 900 horsepower norwood says just under 1000 hp he dinoed the car after he built the engine...Im sure he prob has records on the car also the big tires and wheels help keep it on the ground...If anyone has interest contact me at 317 7522000...

That was the longest sentence I've ever read.

The veyron, which is made by Bugatti. Is also a V16 (and a DOHC) Four tubrochargers accompany it in it's blazing time for 0-185mph in 14 seconds (0-300kph). 0-60mph is 3.2. 0-100mph is 6.3. Top speed of around 220mph. Kinda of disapointing for a DOHC V16 with four turbochargers. Considering the V12 McLaren F1 can post times and speeds near and past the veyron.

If i had a ferrari, i'd probably be living in it, since thats all i would be able to afford I'd rent it out for money to buy food Of course i'd stay with the ferrari when i rent it out. I'd hate to see someone decide to burrow it for a very long time.

The Veyron might of beat the F1. Many different sites list different speeds. But i remember reading somewhere that it did beat the F1 by like 10mph. I just can't remember where i saw it. I still would of thought that the Veyron would of posted some better speeds. Not that they are bad or anything.

Those super performance, cough up a million bucks cars are very nice though.

Hey, i just thought of something. Since the Veyron is AWD. Wouldn't that be pretty cool to see an AWD burnout

You dont need 16 cylinders to burnout with all four wheels. Trust me, I speak from experience....
