Worn out brake pads
I think it is time to change my brake pads on my 1996 Z71 Silverado but I was wondering if it is a job I can do myself or am I better off taking it to some place like Midas or something? Anyone have any suggestions or good websites that describe the whole process in detail?
Thanks.... Ryan |

Nothing to it! If you have ever done any disc brakes, this is the same. I use a C-clamp to press the piston back in. A good set of pads will run about $60.

I use Raybestos. You should be able to get them from any good auto parts store. Also the AC/Delco brand is good. You can get them from the dealer or auto parts store. You should pack your wheel bearings while you are in there.
