need advice quick -> digi cam
I'm thinking of buying this digi cam, but I don't know much about it (I'm buying it second hand).
How is the quality of the pics? Is it a good camera? Other suggestions... It's a Agfa ePhoto CL34 details on the camera http://www.epinions.com/elec-Photo-C...ay_~full_specs thanks

IMHO, I wouldn't waste your money. Its only 1.3 megapixels which is horrible quality. I would save your money for a 3megapixel or higher camera. Otherwise you'll probably just be disappointed.

Re: need advice quick -> digi cam
Look on ebay for a minimum 2megapixel camera with at least 2x optical zoom and preferably some digital as well. An LCD screen is one area where you can save some money, but I wouldn't be without it.
Hope that's some help.

Re: Re: need advice quick -> digi cam
You get for what you pay for. This still holds true in digital camera technology. Since this crosses path with computer technology, the concept of "trade-offs" still applies.
What are you willing to trade off to benefit? Price vs Quality? Price vs Features? Quality vs Speed? Price vs Storage capacity? etc. What you can do is look around for cameras you find that are affordable, and benchmark them with these two websites. http://www.dpreview.com/ http://www.steves-digicams.com/ The second site has review of about most cameras and sample screen shots, the first one you can use to place the cameras side by side for features. The MOST important aspect of the camera is the quality of the picture, if you have all the doo-dats of a camera, but it takes shit quality photo, its of no use as you can replace a camera or lost photo, but you can never replace the time which you are there to take the picture. |
