Angry 95 eclipse gsx, open door without key

hi,
this happened to me and i want to know if someone can tell me how.

i parked my car in an unauthorized parking space. someone call the towing company and had my car towed away, when i went to get my car, i found out that my car was put in gear ( i remember when i parked, it was in netural). they must somehow got into my car, i dont know how, and i wanted to know how, and does it do any damage when they get into my car??

also when they towed my car away, they first tow the back wheels of my car (it is an awd, GSX), becuz i was parked head in. i saw my tire marks on the ground... i know cuz i have racing tires on it, i can reconize the marks... then they put my whole car up and towed it away... i am wondering does it do a lot of damage when they do that??
i feel so sad... if anybody can answer my questions, please let me know... thank u

slim jim. tow truck drivers have them so they can open a car and take it out of gear or release the E brake.

if the just pulled it out of the space and then put it on a flat bed to tow it you should be fine. if the y didn't use a flat bed to tow it then there might be damage.

Your transfer case is probably shot, as is the synchro's in your tranny. Expect the worse, realize the best. You're going to have to keep on the tow company for not towing the car correctly if they didn't use a flat bed. It says on the inside of the door jamb, do not tow with 2 tires off of the ground.

A wheel lift & a dolly? A dolly is used to lift the front 2 wheels off of the ground. Sounds like the rear diff is gone, as well as the transfer case. You're screwed man, keep on their asses. I hate when retarded people have powerful tools. It's not going to be cheap, let them know right away you want replacement parts or it's lawsuit city.

check around for an automotive place that does free estimates. They will check your car over, give you a price, then you know exactly whats wrong for free. I've done this several times. Then you will have a proffesional estimate of the damage, take that to the tow place and it would help out alot more. Also mention you have already talked to a lawyer, if they don't fix it.

Just get in the car & attempt to drive it. You'll know right away if something is whack on it. You'll feel the car hopping around corners(if it even drives), difficulty shifting into gear, putting the car in reverse. Everything will feel completely different. Good luck man, let me know how it goes.
