Theres nothing like sitting behind the wheel of a goat hearing that thing growl. The roar of that V8...... nothing gets better!

Well there never was an argument that the GTO was the first true muscle car. But I said depending all on what the last year it was produced because, as you can tell I like Mopar the last year that they really had anything with some balls was 72' because of damn gas prices. The GTO was produced up to 74'. Which engine was it that they were putting in it that year?

That is why I said that all depends.

I like all these cars they are great. I'd def give you first with Tempest with GTO badging. But I think "Royal Bobcat" is unfair considering it's really a tuner car like Saleen. Also in 69' I think I'd give a serious look to a Boss 429 Mustang

i thought they only made the BOSS 429 in 1970..i would have to think the 1969 Plymouth roadrunner 440 6 pak was also an awesome muscle car, up until 1971..then they added the "go-wing"..aaaahhh..what were they thinking.. The goat is an awesome car too..

All the the Mopar muscle cars were great up until after 1971 when the muscle car began to fall apart thanks to our government and gas prices.

Arguing from the other end, the GTO was not the first muscle car either. That title goes to the Chrysler 300 series, which started in 1955.
