Re: 5th gen zc?
Yes you can as long as you get a OBD I ZC. Basically they are D series, just with a different stamp. You can use any D series tranny.

I was reading something that said the ZC had alot of troubles ;passing emissions, this ture? and also the ZC is primarily a 4 gen civic swap no? that would mean cable tranny, if u have a 92-95 u have hydrolic

Re: 5th gen zc?
ZC's ran from OBD 0 to OBD II SOHC and DOHC, and can be smogged as well as any other JDM, EDM, whatever engine. If you run the correct ECU, and smog equipment (cat, header, ehaust, sensors, etc...) you should be fine.

the ZC is primarily a swap for the 88-91 Civic/CRX, but that doesnt mean you cant do it in a 5th gen. If you dont want to do a cable to hydro conversion, you will want to get a 92-95 EX/Si tranny (for better gearing anyways)
