Re: Transmission Fluid
At any auto parts shop. You might not recognize it, it goes under the name of gear oil.

if you're talking about buying, walmart or canadian tire...manual is gear oil and automatic has something to do with torque coverter crap on it, im not familiar with automatic trannys.
if you're talking about knowing were it's kept in the car, its in the tranny kept in with a squared bolt and the differential. front wheel rive is a bit different, the differential is in the gear box. automatics are under the hood with a dip stick like an oil dip stick.

Re: Transmission Fluid
once you find the dipstick check Auto tranny fluid when engine is at operating temp.(warm engine) if fluid is red and between ful/low ur fine but if slightly brown you might want tom change fluid/flush fluid. If the tranny has never been flushed don't flush it just change it beacuse might mess up internal components. If fluid is dark brown or black tranny is probably scrrewed and have burnt clutches.smell fluid will smell burnt. If there is bubbles there is air in system bad problem.
