96 3.0 caravan....Are they Valve benders?
when the timing belt breaks....are thes motors valve benders? .,....the mechanic says they are bent....and i have doubts.....

the only way to tell if u have a bent valve, is to run the engine,

This goes for any vehicle. Its the big if! If its a timing belt wich is much like any other belt on your vehicle the answer is not likely. If you have a metal timing chain the chances are greater that you bent a valve. Reason being a chain, much like a bicycle chain is metal, usually jumps a couple of cogs when worn, causing your crank and valve train to jump around in a very un-orderly manner. In other words theres no give.
