I would love to tell you to go try it! Your model will probably be a plastic blob after you do it. ![]() Don't do it! Your gonna melt you model. One of my friends tried it, and he told me his model just started melting. ALthough I think he was using model masters or something else. If you don't believe me go ahead, because I 'm not totally sure.

Go ahead and try it. You'll find out that Tamiya synthetic lacquer won't damage the plastic, and you'll love it even more.

Re: tamiya TS-13 clear lacquer on bare plastic
Never tried TS-13 straight on bare plastic. However I have sprayed other colours from Tamiya's TS range on bare plastic and had no reaction whatsoever with bare plastic. So I expect it will be fine. As Hirofkd says, the TS paints are a synthetic lacquer so not as hot as some other automotive lacquers.

I have the spoon civic and integra and was just wondering if I can just spray it over the yellow plastic. I'll try it. Thanks everyone!
