Finally raced an S2000

so im cruisin home from a friens on harbor point blvd, when i see a blue s2000 come flying up next to me. we had traffic ahead of us, so we turned onto hwy 99, an cruise side by side at around 40 mph.

i drop to 2nd first, and he follows suit quickly. end of 2nd he pulls about 1/4 of a car, shift to 3rd and he pulls another 1/4 of a car before we both shut down. the guy was cool an he jus rolled his window down an gave me a nod (i gave him a thumbs up) an then jus cruised off.

wasn't TOO much of a race, but from the sound, he had an intake system, an by the out-come of the race, i'd say it was either a 2000 or 2001 (considering they are the slowest so far).

sorry buddy gotta correct this, there's no "h" on VTEC.

2nd, i wish fatninja. but u gotta think...its rwd with more torque...soooooo...it'd be even more of a whoopin.

if i wasn't selling the teg, i'd def to more to the motor (red's heard be bitch an moan about wut i need to do for wut seems like forever now), but i looks like i'll jus have to save while in the AF.

im thinking s2k when i get out...

well...that an a cbr....

EDIT: btw...the s2k's VTEC sounds SOOOOOO sweet...it was worth losing simply for that...

you really think the S2K V-TEC sounds that nice? i think the type R's sounds alot meaner. i mean the S2K's V-TEC is loud but its not that mean sounding. maybe its becuase my friends doesn't have a intake on it, but i mean the factory S2K already comes with a cone style air filter. so i don't really see the point of spending $200 on basically the same thing as stock and only gaining 1 hp out of it. but anyways good lose. told you those cars aren't that quick. lolz

ah, i've heard both with intake, an i'd say the s2k jus sounds better. the itr is louder, but i don't think it sounds as nice (jus opinion, others could think differently)

very tru, i was surprised that the s2k didnt' have more umph than it did.

Re: Re: Finally raced an S2000

Good race. I want an s2k for a everyday car. I don't think I could race them. I love them too much too see them get abused by the people that drive them. Everytime I see one I cathc up to them and jus usually awe at them. That car is soooo god damn nice. It's weird I know but I'm a honda freak and its the only car I would drool over. S2000 black, vortech supercharger, mugen exhaust and header, volk te-37 wheels bronze, wrapped in some bridgestone s-02's, and some nice bride seats with takata harnesses, and a top secret body kit..... ok I need to stop

so why add a supercharger if your not goin to race it? i think your just in denial , plus my friend has one and they are like the worst everyday car, they have no glove box, they have almost no trunk space, with the top up, the blind spot is hugh! and its a bitch to park with the top up casue you can't see behind you for shit. plus convertable sucks for winter. i would never get that car for everyday. it would definitly be a weekend toy, but it would definitly need to up the HP. that car takes mods like shit. a comptech intake and exhuast only added 2 hp and 8 ftlb of torque. i would need to go turbo

indeed.

my personal opinion is if u've gotta car thats gonna get up an move, SHOW IT.

if i had the money to purchase a high end super-car an afford the insurance, i'd be beatin the hell outta it. why? cuz if it breaks, i'll buy another.

but...thas jus my personal opinion/dream...

Re: Finally raced an S2000

Yeah its what I kinda meant though. If its my everyday car I will show off the mad power I have at everyone that thinks they can take me in it. My everyday car idea is a car that gets abused, and raced all the time. My weekend car would be jus something for looks and style, but can also tear a turbo ss up at anytime I feel the need to. And I don't need a glove box, or a big trunk because I would not be using it for any kind of carrying of luggage or shit like that. Plus I'm sure if I could afford an S2000 I would probably also have a truck to do all the dirty work of getting groceries and drivin in the rain. And plus I said I would want it for an everyday kinda car, not an every season kinda car.
