Ever see the the Blue Man Group?

Ever see the Blue Man Group on Broadway? They're out of this world. You might remember them from the early Pentium commercials, the blue guys with the tubes, except alot longer and better. I recommend it for everybody over the age of 14. There isn't any explict in it, but people under the age might not understand some of the stuff in it. You could take them, but they might not have as a good laugh as other people, that are older.

They make music without conventional instruments. It's really cool.

If you go see them, try and see them in Vegas. That's their "headquarters", so they have the biggest/best shows there because they can't haul all of their stuff around to other cities, so they store alot of it in Vegas, and only bring it out for the home shows.

I've never actually seen them myself, but for on TV, and they do some great stuff.

Are they making music with recuparated stuff (oil drums, brush, plastic bottles,...)? Cause if they do I know a few bands doing that in Europe and it's quite good.

Basically, kinda, not really... But it's basically all percussive instruments...

here's some pics of some of their instruments:

I saw them twice in Chicago. hell, even auditioned, but never made it past the the first interview stage. they actually have a height requirement to be blue, so I would've been shunted into the backup band had I actually made it...not even close though...I've seen stomp once.

Anyway, if you're into the alternative theatre stuff, check out Cirque Du Soleil- Varakei. VERY interesting.

Re: Ever see the the Blue Man Group?

I saw Cirque du Soleil years ago, this has brought back childhood memories. They once set up their tents etc a stone's throw from our football pitch at school... some kids were scared of the idea of tigers & lions being so close
