Will 8x17" rims fit on an ITR?

Will 8x17" rims with 215/40 tires fit on an ITR which will be lowered about 2 inch and has got a corrected camber? Thanx in advance!

8x17??? you mean 17x8....right???

Or should I just keep the stock rims? I like them too but I canīt imagine if itīll look good from behind because they are kind of tiny!?

Okay, letīs just say that Iīm going to keep the stock rims/ tires and lower it so that there is no gap anymore between the tires and the wheel-weels (corrected camber, too). Will it still be a daily driver or will I hit the ground all the time?? Please give me any ideas or pics you have got about that. Thanx in advance!

Do you really think that I havenīt thought about it???:silly2: There are two problems. First the O.Z. Supperleggera (which is very lightweight for its size) isnīt available in 17"x7. Only in 17"x8 or 18"x?! Second problem is that nearly all european rims are kind of heavy and I donīt want that. Okay, BBS rims are kind of lightweight too but I donīt like their style. And it would be too expensive to import a set of rims in the US or even japan (Because of our freakinīlaws!!! But that would take too long to explain! ).
In the moment Iīm thinking about keeping the stock rims again but I really need an answer to my last post to be sure! So where are all the specialists??? Thanx for your great help by the way!

Yea, youīre right, bros! But I still dunno what to do! I thought there might be some other people in here who can give me another idea about it! But that seems to be wrong. I know that youīre a Teg-lover so Iīm asking you once again:Would you keep the stock rims? And do you think I can get these ugly gaps between the tires and the wheel-wells away without hitting the ground all the time when Iīm keeping the stock rims??( I really love them by the way! But I really hate these gaps, too!) You guys are my only hope for that problem because ITRs are more rare then Ferraris (and thatīs the truth) at my place. So I canīt just go out and ask anybody. The few guys Iīve found who have got one have always put some ugly and heavy 17" rims on it! Or they havenīt lowered it! So please HELP me!!!

By the way, Integra-F20C you can get your old post count back when you follow this link: www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t13970.html !!

well right now I'm rideing with 17 X 7 and if I lower my car past the fender it starts to camber with the tire so close to the rear I cant fit my finger in there. If I was going to ride that low with correct camber they would not fit because of the fender. So 17 X 8 you more then likely wont be able to lower past the fenders unless you get flares or something.

I'm pretty sure when you pick up 17's you get a lower profile tire thats about the same diameter as your stock rims. Otherwise your MPH guage will be off. So lower your car so that theres a finger gap with the stock rims and it will look tight. You should have enough clearance, just dont go fast over curbs or out of parking lots and you will be fine. I can go over speed bumps straight and I dont hit. (Finger gap from fenders)

The good ol' Looyville Slugger trick will work.... Put the tires on, then stick a baseball bat in upwards at an angle between the tire and the side pannel and pull up on the bat, so your basically flaring the side panel out, so you can fit in your wider rims... Sorry if that didn't make sense, I'm lasy, but 17's should fit... And you can find 17x7's or 17x7.5's in europe, I live in france during the summers... I've seen 'em... Look harder...

Iīve found a lot of 17x7 rims but they are all too heavy for my taste! But Iīve decided to keep the stock rims anyways because today Iīve read and article which said that they are best for the performance of an ITR!
