Handling Problem & Computer Console of 1994 Chrysler T&C
We recently purchased a Town & Country with approx. 98,000 miles on it. It appears in very good shape in appearance with a few minor problems.
Problem 1 is that when travelling at speed greater than 55 mph (expressway speeds in particular) a slight movement of the steering wheel feels like it is too much of a movement so one tends to try to swing back the other direction with the same effect. The wife describes this as 'the feeling one gets from driving on ice'. Any idea what might be the cause of this and is it something that can be corrected at a reasonable cost?
Problem 2 is that the overhead console isn't giving any temperature at all other than 0C. The wife wants to know the temperature so wondering what might be involved in getting this fixed as well. Are we looking at an expensive repair just to know what the temp is?
Problem 3 is the Service Engine light has come on and we have taken the van back to where we bought it. They (delaership) said they don't know why it is on. It seems to come on after going about 6 miles at highway speeds - doesn't seem to come on for in town driving. Any thoughts? Exhaust system seems in great shape - no loud noise from it.
Gas mileage has been about 21+ miles per gal.
Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
