I know it's been a while, but this is the first model I have done with so much body mods. It seems like after each sanding I find a hollow or it just dose'nt look right. Maybe because I am a fussy pr**k. But I do have to say it is coming along well.
As my job makes me go away on a roadshow with a client every 4weeks for 3 weeks at a time (which involves a lot of driving) all over the country. I get a bonus, yes every town we stop in, I go to the local hobby stores! so I get to find rare and sometimes unfound models in my town, for a lot less than what major city stores charge. Cool eh!!!So on my last trip I brought a studio 27 harness kit, which I could not find in my home town. (without getting it ordered in especially) So that went into the CR-X. So enough babbling, here's some pics. Comments as usual are welcome. ![]()

The belts look terrific! Why did you only put one racing seat? I think it'll look cooler with two, but it's up to you.

Just go out of the thread and back in. Imagestation frustrates the crap out of me. I can't wait for the af server to be up and running.
As for the only one racing seat, I was going for the streeter look. |

Re: Update on wide-bodied CR-X
I'm using a combination of 3 puttys. As this was my first time at doing major body mods.
Gunze Mr putty- really awsome, but ran out and I can't find anymore in NZ. Some green stuff, I've forgotten the name.- sands really well, but takes time to cure and you have to apply with a cotton bud (Q tip for you yanks) And finally I use tamiya basic putty as it sands really smooth. |
