1985 Plymouth Caravelle Fuel Injection Problems

Hello, I recently got an '85 Caravelle. Its not in to bad of a shape, well taken care of. Anyway, my problem seems to be something to do with the fuel injection system. Its hard to start and sometimes when i come to a stop, it likes to run rough and stall. But when im on the gas, it runs fine, except for the fact that its noisy, got a hole in the exhaust, dont know if that could cause a problem ( i know w/o backpressure itll run rough, but i dont know if it can cause stalling and hard starts). The air filter, spark plugs and wires, and fuel filter are brand new, I checked but couldnt find any vacuum leaks, was wondering if anyone had any ideas, I'd really appreciate it. And if you do, when u reply, if u could please put in terms a car-idiot like me could understand, i'd greatly appreciate that too Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
