Question Fuel injection problem i think.

i have 1975 BMW 2002 with fuel injection from a 1985 318.

i think im haveing a fuel delivery problem. Car starts fine but i cant rev her past 2500, with my foot on the gas she just pulses between 2200 and 2700...up down up down. I can drive her fine as long as i dont rev past that magic number.

Any Ideas?

M10 with a rev limiter

The later M10 motors used a different distributor but the same rotor and cap as the earlier 2002.

You may have a rev limiting rotor installed.

If it just limits the RPM and does not cause any backfiring or smoking it is electrical.

Later,
