High and eratic Idle
1991 eagle Talon FWD 2.0 ltr engine non turbo DOHC at startup idle is high and eratic, stays this way for 10 to 15 minues until engine heats up.has anyone had this problem with this? Possible computer problems or mechanical? Email me if you think you have a solution [email protected]

give that screw a turn counterclockwise if the idle is high. that screw (Base Idle Set Screw) controls the idle of your car. try to give it a 3/4 turn counterclockwise and see if the idle goes down. you want your car to idle at 750rpm. if that does not work, check to see if the little rubber O-ring is still in place underneath the screw. if its not there, buy one and try to adjust the screw again. sometimes idle problems never go away so be patient.

lol how about it is just your car warming up
 . When ever i start it in the mourning it idles at above 1000 rpms but after wamrup it goes down to around 800.....
