shocks and struts
I have a 95 GLE, w/over 140,000 miles on it. I need to replace the suspension. I would like to lower the car by 1". Have any idea what I need to spend with labor?

Depends on where you live...I paid $400.00 installed for my Eibach springs, $300.00 installed for my Tokico struts...The Eibachs lowered my Max 1.3" up front and 1" in the back. Pic speaks for itself...

I used the eibach tokico setup also, I paid more though 230 for springs 350 for the struts. I got ripped off. It's a great setup. I definetly recomend it! I did the install myself, it's easy just need to rent spring compressors. Let me know if you need more info on the install.

Forget about the Tokico struts, go get yourself the KYB AGX's. Drop the car with B&G's or H&R's and you'll keep a fairly smooth ride with all the handling benifits. The AGX's are awsome adjustable struts. Tokicos get soft to quick.

Thanks, but how much do the KYB's go for? and are they strusts or springs? I don't want to spend that much. I do have over 140,000 miles.

yeah, get the AGXs..they are better than Tokicos...
having said that...i had my Tokicos for about a year now and they are definitely NOT going soft...i hear people complain like 'oh Toks are going to blow in like 6 month','Tokicos are really bad'....oh please...
and i'm not talking about just driving on streets...i've gone to 3-4 track races and a couple of drag races..i drive about 60-70 miles a day. and my shocks are still good.

Thats good to know since I just had my Tokicos installed...

cut your springs 1 inch from the bottom (all 4) and get some AGXs shocks !!!
