Question CD Install Gone Wrong

Wasap fellas. Quick question: I just installed a new headunit in my Accord, and everything went smoothly. That is untill I was driving later that night and noticed that my indash clock doesn't light up anymore. The clock is still on, and I never disconnected it during the install procedure, but somehow between pulling it out of the dash and popping it back in, I fakked sumthin up back there. I pulled it out again and looked at the wires in back, everything's in tact. Any ideas?

i bet u forgot to play with the illumination light....its one of the main power wires...i found this problem many times in accords...if u use the wrong power wire then the clock wont turn on. i forgot which one it was though.

did u happen to use a adapter from the stock harness?

i bet u used a differnt wire....or something...but its within those power wires.

wish i rememberd...maybe u tapped into the remote line instead....

. . . or it could be the buld is dead. Which is a common problem with '98 & newer. I beleive Honda is the only place you can find the bulb.

Edit: If your car is still under factory warranty - 3yr/36K - then bring it to the dealer & get it replaced for free. Thats ONLY of its the bulb, they will NOT touch someone elses aftermarket wiring mistake.

sounds like the bulb, it's POSSIBLE, but not likely that you might have knocked something loose...I'm not sure on how the clock fits in the 98s, but I'm sure it's nothing but a clip or two...so pull it out and make sure everything is "a-okay", and if not, replace the bulb.
