spanked an escort off the line...
i was getting off 87 in harriman today when i see the rainbow effect headlights and winshield nozzle lights in my rearview. so light turns green and i make the left onto 32, hoping that the two lanes are clear and the lights are red so i can see what this rice is. it's an older escort in that teal color with a intrax decal diagonaly across the hood. so i look over and he's inching up to the line, so i'm like alright here we go, light goes green and i hear him chirp em and i just take off nice and smooth an pull on him in 1st, hit 2nd and he 's half a car length behind and hit 3rd and he's is just gone. i hope he's local so i can spank him again

The last generation of Escort wasnt as slow as the others, but still an Escort. My friend drives one (in that ever popular teal color:flash: ) and he constantly tries to outrun me in my accord.
Granted, 4cylinder Accord arent exactly speed demons, but it takes out that Escort every time.:finger:

a couple people in my town once put a 460 ford V8 in an escort. They wound up sitting and driving it from the backseat. The thing had way to much torque for such a little car and i guess the thing split right in two when they mashed the throttle going about 50.
This is just a story that i heard, i am making no claims on whether or not it is true.

lol... that's what the mustangs of the late 80's looked like.. escorts with V8s... sheeesh.. cept for them I4 ones with 88 horses of fury!!

Nothing but some nice headlights. A large portion of my money (about 99%) is spent on school. Plus I had been saving for the townhouse Im moving in to next year, so money for the car has been pretty much limited to maintenance and gas.
BUT!  This summer, I'll be working ALOT of hours at both my jobs, so I'll pull in an approximate $6000. Since my share of the rent for next year is mostly taken care of, I can afford to spend about 2-3 Gs on my baby.
