Question electrical short

My wife bought a 95 Metro. There is a short somewhere in the elecrical system that seems to be tied into the airbags. If the airbag light doesn't stay on, or goes out, there is no problem. Most the time the airbag light stays on and the battery is cooking itself. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

check 2 things. The wiring harness (something could be shorting out) Last thing ya need is an airbag blowing up in your face while driving. And also check the airbag sensor, and see if the terminals are corroded or damaged. It's right above the hood latch. If those check out ok, pull the airbag fuse until you find the cause.
