I like the look, I think it should be a little bit wider and longer.

I'd drive it, and will be one of the first in line for a new one...

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with all of you..... Out of all of the camaro body styles I think that is the worst (besides the 70's berlinetta), its just another new car trying to be retro **cough cough mustang and pt cruiser cough cough**(I'm glad the GTO isnt trying that!) I think they should have just tweaked the 02 model a bit, the 02 SS was the best looking to me since the 69 SS. In my opinion, the rankings of the body styles are:
1) 69 SS
2) 02 SS
3) Late 80's/Early 90's IROC
4) The "New But Retro" 05 Concept
5) Most of the 70's Models
Sorry, but it looks like a RX-8 to me, and it looks like is has even less of a backseat than the last one! I think they should've put the model that had the front of a Camaro and the back of a Trans Am into production. But thats just my opinion.
Dont get me wrong, I love chevy's, hate fords, but think they could've done a better job on this even if it is at the concept stage.
(the internals to seem pretty nice though)

The 70's berlinetta was not bad looking at all imo. It looked just like a base model camaro. Infact the 79-81 berlinetta(which was the only 70's berlinneta..replaced LT from78 ) had the nicer High back buckets with nicer vinyl or cloth. They came with poly cast or alluminum wheels in 79. A lot of people got power windows in them as well. Most were ordered with V8's. Also they were lighter than a Z28 from the era. The berlinetta was not bad considering the times. As for the 70's camaros being ugly. I could agree if you said the 74-77 were but then again i think all the 3rd gens are kinda plain and boring as far as looks go. Also I think one of the best camaros was a 70's camaro. The 1970 1/2 Z 28 is just bad ass and I think the 79-80 Z28 had a awesome look. It was a shame the govt. scared hp away. I think if they could have put some real HP back in 79 it would have got more respect. Stylin wise they had the look of a cool car and muscle car. Still had muscle car lines from the 70. They had hood scoups, wheel flares and spoilers to help make them look bad ass. The coolness of the fisher 78-81 t-tops is awesome since there so damn big.

Sorry to get off topic. I think this kids drawing is pretty decent. I dont know if "america" still wants unpractical cars. It seems SUV's still bring in profits and young people like cars that get good gas mileage (WRX,Evo,Type R,GST/X) and go as fast as most daily driven muscle cars. Would I buy one?....If i had a garage to store it in to drive ocasionaly..then yes...The bad gas mileage in a useless daily driver doesnt appeal to me. Id rather have a truck. I think its a cool concept but for $25-30 for a car that would sit mostly in a garage for me Id find a classic instead for half the price and probably would be faster or could be for a lot less. The whole retro thing is ok but if I want retro Ill buy the real thing. Ill admit though the Ford camp did a good job on the mustang and Im waiting to see how they will hold up. I cant believe I said I liked a ford design. Thanks for reading this far.

Whoa whoa whoa, back up the train. When did it become customary to rip on a 4th Gen F-body with a V8 for gas mileage?

How in the world can a daily driver truck, which would be lucky to see 20mpg in neutral with the engine off, be a better choice than a V8 F-body which sees 30 mpg on the highway, and about 24-25 in traffic? I don't think it's just me, but I know that trucks and SUV's are not making better gas mileage than either a V6 or a V8 Camaro or Firebird...

No disagreeing with you BlkCamaroSS, but aren't your city mpg estimates a bit off? I have never gotten over 300 on a tank, and I drive mostly city, with a bit of highway mixed in. That means no better than 20 mpg for me, and that's pushing it. And on a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of agressive driving, I am about a 3.

This is what I get with the gas-guzzling Automatic.
28 mpg hwy (verified on a trip to Santa Barbara doing 70-75mph); 18-20 mpg city/hwy (with 3-4 WOT punches/day).

It's a possibility that I'm a bit high, but I've seen that before. My window sticker from when the car was purchased says that it's mpg is 19 in the city and 28 on the highway. I know that I've seen 30mpg in my car on the highway, so I am pretty confident that I see at least 22-23 in traffic. Keep in mind my M6 has the skip shift in it, which helps under slow acceleration, which is normal driving. My whole point in this was that there's no way that using a truck as a daily driver to get better gas mileage is better than using a V8 F-body.

Thats ugly. Yeah, it has that old Camaro look with the retro styling, but thats gay. Why can't they make awesome, jaw dropping cars anymore? The 69, that was just jaw dropping for weeks. The new ones are ok, but they just don't have that Camaro look anymore.:dissapoint

Thumbs up Answer: helllllll yeah

That car is what I've been talking about for years!! I've wanted to make a zl1 out of an old shell and a 427, and now somebody has done it for me!!!! the only problem..... they will be affordable and EVERYONE will have one. Mixed emotions, mostly excitement. I will buy the hell out of that car when it comes out.
