Where to start

I need some help on what to do to greatly increase my hp but still be able to pass emission test for inspection. I have notice a lot of people have the turbo engine, but I have also read that the SR20DET will not pass the test. Also I have seen other parts such as cams and headers that are not street legal, which i am figuring is because of the emmission testing. Can somebody help with this question, and how to get around the problem, or am I just missing something!!!

Just get the test done before you do any mods and you will be fine. If not then try to find some one who do's the tests and see if he will be your friend and pass it for you.

It certain can and has. I live in Houston where we have emissions testing and I fully plan on my car passing.

Most parts are only illegal for road use in The People's Republic of California. They have a visual inspection, but no other area does that I know of. The only difficulty in passing a DET is the fact it doesn't have EGR. I plan on making sure I have the cat hot and retard the timing some.

So the Hotshot headers and JWT cams will not effect the emission testing?
