Do you.....

Drive with 2 hands? Im horrible for always only having 1 hand on the wheel. I used to always drive with 2 hands when I had my Mazda 323 cause there was no power steering or power-assist. But with the caprice, steering is so effortless, and whenever I have to give my mom a lift somewhere, shes always bitchin "Keep both hands on the wheel"

So what about everyone out there? 1 hand, 2 hands?

1 hand on the wheel, one hand on the shifter. Just incase I need a quick downshift.

really depends on What car, Where I am, Who Im with, etc etc......
my beetle 2 hands(unless im shifting/playing with radio/so on) cause it takes 2 hands to keep it on the road with its Super Beetle Shimmy!
my 200SX i generally drive one handed on the street, the other hand lightly resting on the shifter(or fiddling with the cd player, answering the cell phone, pushing the dog off my lap.... )
at an autox its always 2 fisted shuffle steering- unless im shifting

Man that depends. More times than not it is one hand due to heave traffic and the car being maunal. If the weather is bad two hands except when shifting due to the cars natural tendency to go sidways the min boost hits more than 6 psi.

Two hands unless I'm highway crusing then usually one with the cruise on and my other leg out the window.

I NEVER rest my hand on the shifter, bad habit. I can get my hand there by the time I put in the clutch.

I use two hands, but I'm a relaxed driver. Note: Where I put my hands on the steering wheel denotes the mood I'm in...Eh, just thought I would throw that out there.

Two hands in most cases - have to consciously force myself to do that...

One hand, but trying desparately to drive with two hands. When I drive one hand, I tend to get too comfortable. On especially lazy days, I prop my left leg up on the dash (auto box).

I drive with one hand... whether right or left depends on the car/season. For example, driving an auto in the summer lends itself to the right hand steering and the left hand in the open window... But with my stick, I usually drive with the left hand on the wheel (at about 7-8 o'clock) and the right hand resting on the gear shifter, playing w/the radio, answering cell calls, or MAYBE playing with the massage nubbies on my steering wheel cover!

I'm a one hand driver. I know its not the way they teach us, but its the way I enjoy driving.

2 hands mostly. Except of course for shifting gear, and sometimes I find myself resting my hand on the gearknob for a little while after a change.
