intake question
I have a 99 eclipse gst and want to get injen intake but they ask for a stock bov or aftermarket bov. I have stock but want to eventually put an aftermarket in so which should i purchase? If i get the intake w/ stock bov am i going to have to buy additional parts in the future when i get the aftermarket bov? Is there a difference between the two?

I'm going to try to answer this question even though I have never once looked up an injec intake, so take it with caution
I'm going to ASSUME that they are assuming an "aftermarket" BOV is going to vent to atmosphere. In which case the return tube will be deleted. I can see no other reason for them to ask this question. If this is the case (and its up to you to find out for sure ) then all you'll have to do when you upgrade to a BOV that vents to atmosphere (make sure you know what youre getting yourself into there) you just have to cap off that return tube that will no longer be used.

well does the intake w/ aftermarket bov come with a bov fitting? I might as well just buy the aftermarket one then cover the inlet w/ a rubber cap or something

k to answer the question, you want the one for the stock bov, even if you're goin upgrade later, SO GET THE ONE FOR THE STOCK BOV.
also check out www.dejontool.com they dont have the "bling" as the injen does, but its cheaper and work just a good or maybe better |

Four G63 why should i get the one w/ stock bov? Everyone is saying something different but wont it be harder later if i try to upgrade to aftermarket bov w/ the stock settings on the intake. The intake at optauto.com is the one im trying to get. If i do get new bov which is a good choice 1g, greddy S, HKS? then dont i need a ic pipe

I usually suggest a 1g, crushed to 18 in/hg. It will hold you over until the point that you have to upgrade to a real BOV, should you ever take it that far. Real BOVs are those like Tial and SARD. Good to over 30 psi. Not the bling blang shyte valves, but they have thier place.
