I burnt me earlier today too. Touched the side of the inside of a 450 degree pre heated oven...ouch!

you can actually hold a hot light bulb for a short period of time without burning yourself if you do it right, though not recommended :alien2:

Lightbulbs are evil...2 bad experiences so far...
1. Damn lamp fell next to me while I was sleeping, and the shade came off, so not knowing it was there obviously, I roll over and burn my damn arm (now I have a wonderful scar there  )2. My brother touched another lamp in my room, "wondering" if it was hot, and he burnt himself. He got a wet washcloth, came back in the room, and rung the water out over the lightbulb. It exploded, and the glass all came flying at ME  Luckily today I've only hurt myself once.
