Shift linkage
Is it true that 1G eclipses have a common problem with the shift linkage, making it difficult to shift quickly, and requiring the shifter to be shimmed?

1Gs do occasoinaly require able adjustment. Most 1Gs are 10 years old now.. There is a vfaq on how to do it. 2G cars dont have adjustments.

Maybe he's talking about the Symborski shift kit. It replaces the stock(busted) bushings in the shifter base. I loved it, it is definitely more gate style shifting now.
