Which would perform better?

16 Inch wheels or 17 inch wheels.....

---I don't know because 16 in. are prob. lighter....but 17 inches goes further per turn.

well you are looking at less rotational mass w/ the 16's so they won't hender you to bad. If you aren't racing the car and just showing it then you might be happy w/ just going w/ the 17's. Depending ont eh style of rim it is also can depend on your weight of the rim...

The smaller the wheels then the quicker the car will excellerate.

tip: you dont want your wheel to have to travel farther to turn. it requires more rotational inertia, which requires torque. something our beloved hondas werent blessed with

Cant you go with either 16 or 17 with the same result as long as the total radius of the wheel stays the same?
so 16 will have a thicker tire...17 will have a thinner one.

well if you think about it you could go a thiner tired on a 16 and have a smaller radius. so that would take away your theroy Blowncivic1320. unless you cant get thin tires for 16's.

No i mean you go with a tire that will keep ur overall radius the same...lets say if from top to bottom (tire included) u have a 18 inch wheel...you can do 17s with a 1 inch tire...( not realistic but u get my point)

If you had 16s with 2 inches of tire, and the same wheels but in a 17 with an inch of tire, which do you think would weigh more?

every pound takes a lot more for these little motors to turn

IMO go with 16's. If you plan on keeping it as a daily driver too you are going to want the little extra sidewall to protect those nice new rims. I have 16's running on 205/45's. If you go with 17's you'll be down to 35 series tires i think. That is a lot less rubber for the unexpected pot hole/ rough road. Keep all of that in mind too when you choose a rim/ tire pkg.
