Ive got a bunch of questions

Sup everyone,
i bought a 4g hatch (dx 5 speed) about 2 weeks ago, and have a few questions about things i can do to it. First off, is it possible to put MPFI on the d15b2? all of the write-ups are for changing the harness for another motor. also, i would like to put a d16z6 in it when i get up some money. From what i've read, the motor will drop right into my current motor mounts (i have a dx), and will use the tranny and axles ive got. all i need is the Si ECU, a way of controlling vtec (apex vtec afc), and the motor. is this correct? and my last question, my ecu is throwing a code 16, which is for fuel injectors. the car runs perfectly when it cranks, but it doesnt crank maybe 1 time out of every 30. is it possible that it could be the fuel pump, or is it definately limited to the 2 injectors i have? thanks! sorry for the long post

Yeah, you can put MPFI on your d15, and yes the d16z6 will bolt right in using the stock mounts and tranny. I dunno about the code though.

Try throwing in some Fuel Injector cleaner and try replacing your fuel filter. My d15b2 was throwing code 16 also, it too ran pretty good. I changed the fuel filter and added 2 jugs of STP fuel injector cleaner(both in the same tank) and it worked great. Don't use this much fuel injector cleaner too often though. Too much can actually pit your valves.

The first thing i did was replace the fuel filter. I took the primary injector out yesterday afternoon, and the outside part of it looked very clean. It is wierd though because the car sometimes sounds like it idles a little wierd, and occasionally almost stalls but if i give it some gas then it doesnt. im considering just finding some used but good injectors to throw in, id buy new ones but they are so damn expensive - especially for a motor im hopin to replace in 3-4 months

If you have taken the injectors out you should just go have them tested. It'll probably cost about $40. They'll test the flow from both directions and they can tell you if they are bad and if they need to be replaced. It could also be your fuel pump.
