Well Its Finally Finished!! Fujimi Gt40 In Mettalic Black!

Gotta say, This is an awsome kit!!! Photo etched parts, Fairly clean kit out of the box in white for east painting. The only problem's I had with the kit was I lost a hood pin while putting on the body.
What a tight squeeze that was

Let me know what you think, The Color is Tamiya Mettalic black, Looks great in natural light. These shots are pretty up close so you can see the small f-up's but overall I am very happy.

Let me know If anyone wants a shot of the box it came in. Fujimi make about 5 or 6 different versions of this kit.

OMG
I didn't know Fujimi did a GT40... (must have missed it).

You've done an amazing job... Are all the parts straight from the box??

I'll HAVE to add that to my next shopping list..

Thanks

Yeah all the parts are straight from the box. Nice photoetched parts silk seatbelt material. Rubber tires with Chrome dipped wheels and knock-offs!

So what is the kit like all up? Any fittings at all that don't work or are a bit tricky? How are the dimensions and detail? I've wanted to get a GT40 for awhile now but Fujimi is the only brand which make one, and I don't trust Fujimi any more. And for $65AUD I hope it would be worth it.

Very nice model by the way!!!

Yeah, what are the problems with the kit. It looks great! I just can't believe that Fujimi produced such an awsome kit.

Real nice! Have to agree, I love this kit too and you're right, attaching the body does cause some heart stopping moments.

I love GT40s too, nice effort

Is the base kit the red 1966 Mk II? Those decals look like the typical Fujimi semi-transparent effort.

MrHappy Fujimi make a lot of different GT40's - '66, '68 and '69 Le Mans winners and heaps more besides.

Personally, the GT40 is one of my favorite cars. I have a couple of kits in the basement and am hoping to build them soon. I believe I also have a Revell/Monogram kit of a GT40, but it's pretty old... Fujimi kits are the popular ones.

very nice! it would look better in daylight, methinks. I have the red 66 lemans version waiting to be built, to tell the truth I'd almost forgotten it was there. I'll be sure to show you when I've had my way with it.
