Helpppppp....White smoke!
I have a 95SE with 123K miles. I have only had the car almost 2 months. Well almost every morning and after the car is sitting for a while it will blow what looks like white smoke. Sometimes it doesn't seem as much as others. I smelled the smoke and it does smell kind of sweet, but it doesn't smell like antifreeze. After it smokes for 5-10 seconds, then it is fine and I don't see it do it again until it has been sitting for a while. Sometimes it won't do it again all day and sometimes it will smoke a little after 2 hours. I checked the fluid levels and the oil is not milky and has not gone down too much. I think I have added a 1/2 a quart in 3000 miles. I am just about to change the oil, so I will see what it looks like in the pan. Also, the coolant is still very green and has not gone down any level. I am lost as too what it might be. I am about to take it to the dealer, but they charge a flat hour fee of 80 bucks and I don't really like dealers. I thought maybe it has a blown or leaky head gasket, but I am not sure of all the symptoms. The car runs great other than that. It has never overheated. I drove it 400 miles out of town in 100 degree weather and it ran great. I don't think it is oil coming out of the exhaust, but I guess I don't know. My buddy worked at Honda and he thinks it is valve seals and that the smell I am smelling is the car running rich when I start it. I don't really notice and bluish color to the smoke though. Its more of a white-greyish color. I just don't want anything bad to happen. Does anybody have any ideas?

it sounds like your fuel air mixture might be running a little rich. check that out first, usually easy to figure out and cheap to fix

could be a lil oil too! i wouldnt take it to a dealer cuz they will either make up something that is wrong with it, or try to get u to have a bunch of shit done that doesnt need to be done. find a local mechanic or jus a friend that knows what they are doing and talkin about and see what they say! also, i had trouble a lil bit with that for like 2 weeks. go to advanced auto or somewhere like that and get some of that stop smoke stuff they sell, it made mine stop and i never noticed it after that one bottle. i dunno if i was jus seein shit or a seal closed back up or wat tho

Same Thing Happend To Me
Hey they same thing was happening to me with my last maxima it had 204k on it.. all it was... was my valve rings need replacing b/c as it sits over night a little oil would seep past them adn then that white smoke is just it burning off. it's a little costly to have repaired since you have to tear the engine down, and nobody likes to do it. But dont worry its normal considering the amount of miles you have on your car, but what i did to keep it under check untill i could get it fixed was i get put that engine restorer in every 3k miles and make sure you keep your oil changed and i also put an engine lubricant (that realllyy thick stuff). Anyways... hope this helps
