egr

you can get headers from ssautochrome.com for about 200$ for the 93-97 626 4 banger.. they will fit the 98+ 626. the egr valve is a biotch but it will fit... then you just have to worry about o2 sensors.. good luck!

Dont' waste your $$ on "headers" have put several on and unless you are running raceres at ++ R.P.M's they won't do a thing for performanse.

You must have just put a header on when I just put the header on no real difference but with the rest of my breathing mods it was nice difference like 20 more hp and I know because I have the 00 which has 12 more hp stock and I get her by half a car without zex of course with it now as opposed to it just getting me (my wife races me when she wants to)

Re: headers

I'm looking for good quality performance headers for my 96' 626. I'm replacing the exhaust, intake, headers, and the chip, which all of this together is suppose to give me around +40hp. This is just a start for me though.. I've actually though about pulling the 4cyl and putting in a V6, then start from that point..

It's a bit hard to find anything for the 626, yet the 626 used to be the shiz.. I guess Mazda and the rest of the world give up on it as a performance car. That's too bad.

Re: headers

Bosal made headers, Hooker makes them, Custom are available. And Converting to a v6 for your car would be the best thing yet, go for a KL-ZE 203 hp and 192 lbs of torque. I have one in my 95 ES and it out runs the majority of integra's... minus turbo's and properly tuned gsr's ..

626 - theres lots out there, but you have to have imagination, as allways there are options from the Probe, Mx6 Mx3 some protege parts, and you can modify your car to fit almost anythign else.. [Pref. Find civic junk because its cheap as all get out.. ]
